I should have put this 'answer' here instead of as a comment on the other thread. Here's what I said earlier today. I'm not sure I've made any progress beyond this.

Obviously, I don't know anything about the larger context of Metastack (or whatever it is). This is, again, willful ignorance. The reality is that we have about four or five people here responsible for 90% of the content.

I like the basic scope of the kinds of questions that Peter Mortensen asks. Ultimately, I think my answers kind of speak for themselves about what kind of other contributers I'd like to see here. There are vague issues that we take up that I would actually like to hear additional opinions and perspectives from practicing technical writer/editors.

I'd like to not venture too far into the traditional academic world where everything is book learning and there is not a person who actually writes 1200 to 2000 words a day in sight, other than in off-handed social contexts.

If there is an open-source version of the platform that can basically be hosted anywhere, and we can save and maybe even refine the existing data in basically the same form, and the only question is how much time and money Oliver has to sink into it or wants to sink into it, then, I guess, we kind of need to know the parameters of that.

Big problem for me is I am swamped, crazy, busy, scared to death of my deadlines until the end of July. So... any assistance on the technical side of things isn't possible from me. But I will have nooks and crannies of time to 'do something else' in the form of a break from the daily grind.

Not sure how this might help, but there are the thoughts I currently have as they come of the end of my fingertips unedited. =)
